What's the biggest mistake a character made?

There have been many mistakes made with some more crucial than others, and i think most of you will pick an incident that has to do with a certain fat guy. Personally I think krillin not disabling 18 is the worst since a press of a button could have prevented so much.

Dah to many to think :p but here's some:
-Krillin did not push the but go cause he love #18.
-Vegeta let Cell absorbed it #18 for the pleasure of fighting, and having the honor to beat the strongest been alive.
-Goku not finishing Fat Buu cause he wanted"The kids to take over".
-Gohan not killing Perfect Cell cause"He must pay".
-Vegeta ignoring Trunks warnings and risking he's life just to fight the androids.

I would say goku not completely destroying the red ribbon army but If goku did then he would've died from the heart disease and everyone would've eventually been killed by buu

Everything Vegeta did in the Cell arc leading Cell to become perfect. Also, when they didn't kill Doctor Gero after Trunks came from the future and warned them about the androids. I don't buy the excuse that they didn't kill him because he didn't do anything bad; he was a member of the Red Ribbon army, he obviously did plenty of bad things.

In fact, almost any decision the characters make just so they can satisfact their urge to fight is pretty stupid.

Usual bad writing. Krillin not destroying 18.
18 not getting the hell out off the island after 16 told her over 9,000 times to do so.
Frieza not destroying Earth from orbit like his dad suggested.
Vegeta.... being Vegeta. "Oh, what's that? You have one last form? Go ahead and get stronger so you can kick my a***!"
Cooler not getting the hell out of the way from his incoming death ball, or not even trying to fire off a second one to kill Goku.
Kid Buu coming back as Uub.... Ugh.

For me its vegeta, fighting goku and unleashing buu. Few reasons that make this one special
#1 unlike other mistakes they do, this had no indication of power, at least with the others they had a reason to think they could win All the other times, they had seen the bad guy, they at least could GUESS what they could do.
#2 the way he did it, its one thing to let the bad guy transform its another to fight goku just cause you want to feel powerful again
#3 unlike the other times he litlarly willing helped them, all the others just
"let it happen" he actively helped there.
#4 it lead to the destruction of all of earth
#5 he regraded it the moment he did it, this to me tells me it was more of a rash action, he did not think it through, with the others a fight is going on split moment to decide, he did not have this problem

Goku simply existing in the Boo Arc was a mistake. Everything he did was completely selfish and a dumb decision.

I would say Goku's decision to not kill Buu was probably the dumbest move of the series. Seriously, why not kill Buu and teach the boys Fusion for later threats?

Everything Vegeta does.

On Earth he toyed constantly and somehow, even as an Oozaru, he was beaten down and nearly killed
On Namek, he let Zarbon transform and got owned for it
He let Freeza transform....twice
Then he let Cell transform and beat up Trunks for trying to save him
Then he let Babidi control him for a petty grudge, blew himself up against Buu, and refused to ally with Goku

Goku also made really crappy decisions, namely when he didn't tell Gohan about his plan in the Cell Games, giving Cell a Senzu Bean, leaving Fat Buu alive(though that paid off with Good Buu), and not killing Kid Buu

What Prince said. Buu was a huge threat. If he could kill Buu, why the hell didn't he just do it? And I'm pretty certain Goku regret not doing so later on.

I'm not convinced that Goku could have defeated Fat Buu in the time he had left on Earth. Remember SSj3 was draining his life time away quickly, and it might have taken a whole lot more than simply pummeling Buu around to defeat him. It'd be just a much a gamble to try and defeat Buu all on his own, which is why I think Goku made the comment "his strength is like a lie..." meaning that despite SSj3 Goku being stronger it would have been extremely difficult to actually exterminate Buu.

Though I know this is a personal reading of the events, and Goku fully gives his reasons for wanting the kids to try...I just think it would have been tougher than must people make out.

But as for my opinion on the biggest character mistake; Krillin. I don't care about "if it's love"...if Cell had wiped out the planet then it would be Krillin's fault for not destroying #18 when he had the chance; it's only retrospectively that we think Krillin did something for love because the results turned out okay.

He had a chance to stop Cell from ever getting more powerful and he blew it. Vegeta, Trunks, Goku, or Gohan could have easily defeated Cell at that point and he would have no longer been a threat. But because of Krillin's S E L F I S H desires the entire world was threatened. How can anyone condone that behavior from him?

I feel Goku is full of dumb decisions that, could have ultimately cost everyone everything. I mean, he spared Piccolo and Vegeta, which could have backfired horribly, and he does all this just to receive a challenge. He lets Freeza reach 100% to satisfy his pride of knowing that he could beat him. I mean, Yeah Vegeta let Cell become complete, but he only receives s*** for it because it didn't work in his favor like everything always seems to do for Goku. Talk s*** about Vegeta all you want, Goku has made as many if not more stupid decisions.

Giving Cell a senzu bean is incredibly stupid...what kind of nonsense is that. I'm all for honor but he's threatening the entire Earth, like...this guy is a global threat to everyone on the planet...

How bout Vegeta unlocking buu? at least one could auger for krill an in that she seemed nice to him, was an inceont human, and was at the time no danger to them

Not saying your way is wrong, clearly I understand your points, just want to know how you comapre the two
